FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Non-medical in-home care aids with daily living activities for individuals who need support but don’t require skilled medical care. This includes help with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.

Yes, North Bay Home Care is a state licensed company under the California Department of Social Services. We are also bonded and insured.

We offer free in-home assessments for your loved ones. During the assessment, we are advised on your loved one’s specific needs and we can collaborate on the hours of care. This could range from a few hours a day to 24 hours.

We provide a minimum of 4 hours of care per day, with a minimum of 3 days per week.

CARE GIVER RELATED QUESTIONS

Usually, the clients give their preferences of either a male or female caregiver. But for the most part, we carefully match caregivers to clients, based on their specific needs, preferences, and personalities.

Caregivers can assist with a variety of tasks, including personal care, light house duties, meal preparation, transportation, and companionship.

While caregivers can provide medication reminders, they cannot administer medication.

Yes, our caregivers are trained to assist with bathing, dressing and engaging in activities with your loved ones to help avoid loneliness.

Yes, our caregivers can help with meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping.

Yes, we offer transportation services for medical appointments, social activities, or other outings. However, the mileage costs for the appointments will be bonded by the client and not the caregiver. It will be reflected in your bi-weekly invoice.

Apart from looking after your loved ones, we also provide non-emergency wheelchair transportation.

Yes, we understand that care needs can change. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your family’s needs.

HIRING AND TERMINATION
